Physical literacy is the confidence, motivation, knowledge, physical competence, and understanding of physical activity.
It enables us to engage in physical activity.
Physical literacy is best acquired at a very young age. However, it can still be implemented with adult populations, even the elderly, following the same principles of development.
We have been facing a physical health issue in the U.S. for a long time. Currently, more people are becoming aware of overall health, including physical and mental health. More fitness companies are profiting off of this movement.
However, I still see many people failing at turning physical activity into a lifestyle. That’s because they are skipping the foundations of physical literacy.
Today, I talk off-the-cuff about physical literacy. Nothing planned. Just me and my thoughts.
