E5: Thoughts About Physical Literacy

Physical literacy is the confidence, motivation, knowledge, physical competence, and understanding of physical activity.

It enables us to engage in physical activity.

Physical literacy is best acquired at a very young age. However, it can still be implemented with adult populations, even the elderly, following the same principles of development.

We have been facing a physical health issue in the U.S. for a long time. Currently, more people are becoming aware of overall health, including physical and mental health. More fitness companies are profiting off of this movement.

However, I still see many people failing at turning physical activity into a lifestyle. That’s because they are skipping the foundations of physical literacy.

Today, I talk off-the-cuff about physical literacy. Nothing planned. Just me and my thoughts.

If you have any questions or thoughts on your own, please send them in the comments.
